Jack A. Hockema is President and Chief Executive Officer, Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Hockema has served as President and Chief Executive Officer since October 2001 and as Chairman of the Board of Directors since July 2006. Previously, Mr. Hockema served as Executive Vice President of Kaiser Aluminum and President of Kaiser Aluminum Fabricated Products. In this capacity, he was responsible for sales and manufacturing operations for the company’s Engineered Products business unit and the Flat-Rolled Products business unit. He had also previously served as Vice President and President of the Company’s Engineered Products business unit. Prior to joining Kaiser in 1995, he was the principal in a metals industry management consulting and investment advisory firm and had held senior executive positions with Bohn Extruded Products, a division of Gulf+Western, and American Brass Specialty Products. In addition, he had previously been employed by Kaiser (from 1977 to 1982) in production/operations management positions at several Company locations. He holds a Master of Science degree in Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, both from Purdue University.
John Barneson is Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. He joined Kaiser in 1975 as an industrial engineer and subsequently held a number of increasingly responsible staff and operations management positions at a variety of Kaiser locations. He was named a Vice President in 1996. He holds a Master of Science degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Oregon State University.
John M. Donnan is Executive Vice President – Legal, Compliance and Human Resources. He joined the company in 1993 as Associate Corporate Counsel, was named Deputy General Counsel in 2000 and General Counsel in 2007. In May 2012 Mr. Donnan was named to his current position managing the company’s corporate legal, compliance, internal audit, environmental, safety and quality functions. Before joining Kaiser, Mr. Donnan was an associate in the Corporate/Securities section of the Houston, Texas, office of Chamberlain Hrdlicka. He holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law and Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in finance and accounting from Texas Tech University. He is a member of the Texas and California bars.
Melinda C. Ellsworth is Vice President and Treasurer. Before joining Kaiser Aluminum in 2008, Ellsworth was Vice President, Treasurer and Investor Relations at HNI Corporation, a leading provider of office furniture and hearth products. Prior to HNI Corporation, she served in several roles with Sunbeam Corporation, ending her tenure as Vice President, International Finance and Treasury. She additionally has over a decade of experience in commercial banking. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from St. Bonaventure University and is a Certified Public Accountant (Inactive).
Keith Harvey is Executive Vice President – Fabricated Products. He joined Kaiser in 1981 as an industrial engineer at the company’s rolling mill in West Virginia. He subsequently held increasingly responsible positions in engineering and sales at several Kaiser locations and was named a vice president in 1994. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from West Virginia University.
Mark R. Krouse is Vice President of Human Resources. Mr. Krouse joined Kaiser in 2013 and has more than 35 years of experience in human resources. Prior to joining Kaiser, Mr. Krouse was Vice President, Human Resources of Samsung C&T Engineering and Construction, Americas. Mr. Krouse was also Adjunct Professor of California State University, Fullerton. In addition, Mr. Krouse held various human resources positions, including Vice President, Human Resources, with Fluor Corporation. Mr. Krouse holds a Master of Science degree in International Administration and a Bachelor of International Relations degree, both from the University of Southern California.
Ray Parkinson is Vice President of Advanced Engineering. Ray joined the company in 1986 as technical director for extruded products and has more than 20 years of experience in sales, operations, quality control, engineering and research and development in diverse manufacturing environments. Ray has a Ph.D. in metallurgy, as well as Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Engineering from Imperial College in the United Kingdom and an MBA from St. Mary’s College.
Daniel J. Rinkenberger is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He joined the organization in 1991, became Assistant Treasurer in 1995, and served as Vice President and Treasurer from 2005 to 2008. Between 1997 and 2002, he served in the fabricated products business unit in various financial and business planning functions. From 2002 to 2005, he served as the company’s Vice President of Economic Analysis and Planning. Before joining Kaiser, he held a series of progressively responsible positions in the Treasury Department at Pennzoil Corporation. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Education degree from Illinois State University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Jason Walsh is Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis. He joined Kaiser in 2006 as Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis and served as Group Controller, Common Alloy Products and Director, Financial Planning & Analysis. Before joining Kaiser, he held a series of progressively responsible positions in manufacturing operations with Caterpillar Inc. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Neal West is Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer. Prior to joining Kaiser Aluminum in 2008, West was Vice President and Principal Accounting Officer at Gateway, Inc. Prior to Gateway, he served in several roles over 19 years with Neptune Orient Lines/APL, one of the world’s largest container shipping and logistics companies, ending his tenure as Vice President, Controller for APL Logistics, Ltd., a $1.2 billion international warehousing and logistics division of Neptune Orient Lines. He holds a Master of Science degree in information systems from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and business administration from Illinois State University. He is a Certified Management Accountant and Certified Public Accountant.
