Jack A. Hockema is Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Hockema has served as Chief Executive Officer since October 2001 and Chairman of the Board of Directors since July 2006. Mr. Hockema also served as President from October 2001 to December 2015. Previously, Mr. Hockema served as Executive Vice President of Kaiser Aluminum and President of Kaiser Aluminum Fabricated Products. In this capacity, he was responsible for sales and manufacturing operations for the company’s Engineered Products business unit and the Flat-Rolled Products business unit. He had also previously served as Vice President and President of the Company’s Engineered Products business unit. Prior to joining Kaiser in 1995, he was the principal in a metals industry management consulting and investment advisory firm and had held senior executive positions with Bohn Extruded Products, a division of Gulf+Western, and American Brass Specialty Products. In addition, he had previously been employed by Kaiser (from 1977 to 1982) in production/operations management positions at several Company locations. Mr. Hockema has served on the Board of Directors of Superior Industries International, Inc. since December 2014. He holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, both from Purdue University.
John Barneson is Senior Vice President – Corporate Development. Mr. Barneson joined Kaiser in 1975 as an industrial engineer and subsequently held a number of increasingly responsible staff and operations management positions at several Kaiser locations. He was named a Vice President in 1996. He holds a Master of Science degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, both from Oregon State University.
John M. Donnan is Executive Vice President – Legal, Compliance and Human Resources. He joined the company in 1993 as Associate Corporate Counsel, was named Deputy General Counsel in 2000 and General Counsel in 2007. In May 2012 Mr. Donnan was named to his current position managing the company’s corporate legal, compliance, internal audit, environmental, safety and quality functions. Prior to joining Kaiser, Mr. Donnan was an associate in the Corporate/Securities section of the Houston, Texas, office of Chamberlain Hrdlicka. He holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law and Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in finance and accounting from Texas Tech University. He is a member of the Texas and California bars.
Melinda C. Ellsworth is Vice President, Investor Relations & Corporate Communications. Ms. Ellsworth joined Kaiser in 2008 as Vice President, Treasurer, and was named to her current position in 2015. Prior to joining Kaiser, Ms. Ellsworth was Vice President, Treasurer and Investor Relations at HNI Corporation, a leading provider of office furniture and hearth products. Previously, she served in several roles with Sunbeam Corporation, ending her tenure as Vice President, International Finance and Treasury. Additionally, Ms. Ellsworth has over a decade of experience in commercial banking. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from St. Bonaventure University and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
Keith Harvey is President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr Harvey served as Executive Vice President -Fabricated Products since June 2014 and was named to his current position December 2015. Mr. Harvey joined Kaiser in 1981 as an industrial engineer at the company’s rolling mill in West Virginia. He subsequently held increasingly responsible positions in engineering and sales at several Kaiser locations and was named a Vice President in 1994. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from West Virginia University.
Mark R. Krouse is Vice President of Human Resources. Mr. Krouse joined Kaiser in 2013 and has more than 35 years of experience in human resources. Prior to joining Kaiser, Mr. Krouse was Vice President, Human Resources of Samsung C&T Engineering and Construction, Americas. Mr. Krouse was also Adjunct Professor of California State University, Fullerton. In addition, Mr. Krouse held various human resources positions, including Vice President, Human Resources, with Fluor Corporation. He holds a Master of Science degree in International Administration and a Bachelor of International Relations degree, both from the University of Southern California.
Del Miller is Vice President and Treasurer. Mr. Miller joined the company in 1997 as Manager of Primary Metal Sales and Trading, was named Vice President, Commodity Sales in 2003, and served as Vice President, Commodity Risk from 2004-2015 and as Treasurer and Vice President, Commodity Risk management from June 2015 to April 2017. Prior to joining Kaiser, he worked for Commonwealth Aluminum with responsibility for managing commodity and financial price risks. His background also includes over 10 years with Coors and Coors-related companies with positions of increasing responsibility in accounting, purchasing, and commodity risk management. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Colorado State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
Ray Parkinson, Ph.D. is Vice President – Advanced Engineering. Dr. Parkinson joined the company in 1986 as technical director for extruded products and was named to his current position in 2001. He has more than 30 years of experience having held a variety of leadership positions in operations, quality control, engineering and research and development across diverse manufacturing environments. Dr. Parkinson has a Ph.D. in metallurgy as well as Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Engineering from Imperial College in the United Kingdom and a Master of Business Administration degree from St. Mary’s College CA. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.
Daniel J. Rinkenberger is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Rinkenberger joined the company in 1991, became Assistant Treasurer in 1995, served as Vice President and Treasurer from 2005 to 2008 and Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2008 to 2012 when he was named to his current position. Between 1997 and 2002, he served in the fabricated products business unit in various financial and business planning functions. From 2002 to 2005, he served as the company’s Vice President of Economic Analysis and Planning. Prior to joining Kaiser, he held a series of progressively responsible positions in the Treasury Department at Pennzoil Corporation. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Education degree from Illinois State University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Neal West is Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer. Prior to joining Kaiser Aluminum in 2008, Mr. West was Vice President and Principal Accounting Officer at Gateway, Inc. Prior to Gateway, he served in several roles over 19 years with Neptune Orient Lines/APL, one of the world’s largest container shipping and logistics companies, ending his tenure as Vice President, Controller for APL Logistics, Ltd., a $1.2 billion international warehousing and logistics division of Neptune Orient Lines. He holds a Master of Science degree in information systems from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and business administration from Illinois State University. He is a Certified Management Accountant and Certified Public Accountant.
Mark Boehman, Vice President of Sales – Automotive & Custom Industrial Products, joined Kaiser in 2006. Prior to joining Kaiser, Mr. Boehman held sales and commercial management positions of increasing responsibility at Alcan Corporation from 2001 to 2006 and at Hydro Aluminum during the previous five years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Michigan State University.
Scott Endres is Vice President – Flat Rolled Products and formerly served as Plant Manager at Kaiser’s Trentwood facility in Spokane, Washington. Mr. Endres joined Kaiser in 1997 and has held numerous key management positions in Maintenance and Engineering as well as served as Project Manager for the Trentwood facility’s heat treat plate capacity expansion project. Mr. Endres has over 20 years of experience in the Aluminum industry. Prior to joining Kaiser, Mr. Endres held operations management and engineering roles at Nichols Aluminum and Alcoa. Mr. Endres holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Tom Gannon is Vice President – Marketing. Mr. Gannon rejoined Kaiser in 2006 as Vice President of Marketing, Aerospace and Distribution Products and was named to his current position in 2015. Mr. Gannon joined Kaiser in 1977, focused on sales and marketing of the company’s forgings and extrusions business. From 1999 to 2005, he worked at Alcan Corporation, as automotive market director and then as Vice President, managing the industrial products and automotive commercial effort for Alcan’s North American rolled products division. With the subsequent spin-off of Novelis, he continued as Vice President and maintained the commercial responsibility of rolled product sales. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Educational Communications from Ithaca College and a Master of Business Administration degree from Gannon University.
Stephen Rogers is Vice President – Business Process Development. Mr. Rogers joined Kaiser in 2006 as General Manager at Kaiser’s London, Ontario facility and was subsequently promoted to Vice President – Hard Alloy Rod, Bar and Wire in 2010 and Vice President – Common Alloy, Bar and Tube Products in 2013 and Vice President – Ground Transportation & Custom Industrial in 2014. Mr. Rogers was named to his current position in 2016. Prior to joining Kaiser he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Waltec Forgings and Waltec Engineering. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, Ontario Canada. Mr. Rogers is a Certified Management Accountant and Certified Public Accountant.
Chuck Strong is Vice President of Sales – High Strength and General Engineering Products. Mr. Strong joined Kaiser in 2010 as Vice President Marketing, Common Alloy Rod, Bar and Tube with more than 30 years of experience in various positions of commercial leadership within the aluminum industry and subsequently named VP of Sales- Aerospace and Distribution in late 2011. Mr. Strong was named to his current position in 2016. Prior to joining Kaiser he served as Director of National Accounts – Distribution for Sapa AS. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Oregon.
Blain Tiffany is Vice President – Sales & Marketing, High Strength and General Engineering Products. Mr. Tiffany joined Kaiser in 2013 as Vice President – Marketing, Hard Alloy Extrusions, Pipe and Tube. Prior to joining Kaiser, Mr. Tiffany held several senior management positions during his 34 years in metals distribution. He was most recently with A.M. Castle & Co. where during his 13 years with the company he served as President of the Steel Plate division, President of the Aerospace division and President of the Industrial division. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Almeda College and completed the Strategic Metals Management Program at the Olin Business School Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Jason Walsh is Vice President and General Manager – Automotive and formerly served as Vice President – Financial Planning & Analysis. Mr. Walsh joined Kaiser in 2006 as Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis and served as Group Controller, Common Alloy Products and Director, Financial Planning & Analysis. Prior to joining Kaiser, he held a series of progressively responsible positions in manufacturing operations with Caterpillar Inc. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
